Health and wellbeing information shared in a therapeutic context is classified as special category data under GDPR. We process this only with your explicit consent, obtained at the start of our therapeutic relationship.
Provision of healthcare (Article 9(2)(h)):
Session notes and clinical records are maintained for the purpose of providing, managing, and reviewing healthcare services in accordance with professional standards.
4. Special Category Data
Information relating to your physical or mental health is special category data under GDPR and is afforded additional protections. This includes any health history, presenting concerns, or personal disclosures made during sessions.
This data is processed only with your explicit consent and in accordance with professional ethical standards. It is stored securely, accessed only by Giulia Bertone, and shared only in the limited circumstances described in Section 6.
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
Client session records: Retained for 7 years from the date of last contact, in line with professional practice guidelines and Maltese legal requirements.
Enquiries where no therapeutic relationship is established: Retained for 12 months, then securely deleted.
Financial and payment records: Retained for 7 years in accordance with Maltese tax law.
Website analytics data: Retained in anonymised form by Wix in accordance with their data retention policy.
When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Professional supervision: Giulia Bertone receives clinical supervision as required by professional standards. Case material may be discussed with a supervisor under strict confidentiality, without identifying details where possible.

2. Booking and Appointments
Sessions can be requested through the contact form on this website or via direct communication with Giulia Bertone. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from Prana Holistic Health.
For psychotherapy clients, an initial assessment session will be offered before an ongoing therapeutic relationship is established. This allows both client and practitioner to determine whether working together is a suitable fit.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, course materials, worksheets, and programme content, is the intellectual property of Giulia Bertone and Prana Holistic Health, unless otherwise stated.
